ABSTRACT
Εναλλακτικές στρατηγικές στην κατευθυνόμενη οστική αναγέννηση GBR. Αποκατάσταση προχωρημένης ατροφίας άνω γνάθου με ζυγωματικά εμφυτεύματα και site specific implants
What is the ZAGA method
The ZAGA method is an alternative and safe method for the reconstruction of the atrophic maxilla.
The ZAGA i.e. ZYGOMA ANATOMY GUIDED APPROACH is a patient specific therapy concept for the rehabilitation of patients with advanced maxillary bone atrophy.
ZAGA is anatomically and prosthetically driven in order to optimize patient function and prevent long term complications.
This method avoids opening a window into the maxillary sinus i.e. the ZAGA Concept is to stay out of the sinus i.e. less sinus complications.
A patient specific approach is used based on the patient’s anatomy and degree of jaw atrophy. Treatment is prosthetically driven ensuring optimal function (speech + chewing) as well as ease of homecare/cleaning.
Summury
In summary the ZAGA Method:
- Maximizes Zygomatic Implant success.
- Minimizes patient discomfort.
- Maximizes patient immediate function.
Alternative Strategies to Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). Restoration of advanced maxilla atrophy by means of zygomatic implants and site specific implants
